Captain Al's Waterfront Grill & Bar is an independently owned and operated restaurant. The owners, Al & Kathy bought the business 5 years ago - turning it from fine dining Italian to what it is now - a casual, tropical theme, fun destination. After looking at several sites up and down the eastern seaboard, they knew right away when they came upon their current location on St. Petersburg's historic Pier that this location was for them. Looking out onto the wide water of beautiful Tampa Bay from their restaurant sealed the deal. The Pier is the most popular tourist destination in St. Petersburg and ranks among the top most visited places in the state of Florida. The inverted pyramid pier building was built in 1973 and has become St. Petersburg's most famous waterfront landmark. It is open 365 days a year so any time you're up for a delicious meal and a relaxed table on the water, Captain Al's is open!
